Use By Date
On jar lids
packet edges,
in neat computer printing
are dates:
“Use by …”
“Best Before …”
A sign of finite life,
Limited use,
and inevitable corruption.
The average life span for men
in Australia is.
79.7 years.
Is that a “best before”
or “use by” date?
Or is every second
a gift
to be cherished
and lived,
whether many or few?
For there is no
“Use By” date”
in the Kingdom of God.

Great thought – I spose people need a Best After…
Answer being the cross –
Thanks – this is really good.
Ben
Thanks for the comment. My uncle was told by his doctor that he was in good health for someone who had reached his “use by” date!
LOL – that’s gotta hurt.
