God’s Lists – A Poem
“Forgive Us Our Trespasses No.2” a poem
Piled upon the others …
Your little sin
Piled upon yours …
Their little sin
Upon theirs:
Each, seemingly,
So insignificant,
So minuscule,
But daily,
Weekly,
Yearly,
They grow and grow.
The heap rises to the depths.
It blots out the light of God.
Darkness descends,
Until the cross …
Until the Grace …
Until the Sacrifice
… breaks through.
“Forgive Us Our Trespasses No 1” a poem
A Poem on Sunday Gen 3:4-5
Slyly it lures and entices.
Whispers and cajoles.
“You will know the truth.”
“You will not die.”
“You will be like God!”
“Bite, chew, enjoy!”
“Savour the taste.”
…
The world still tugs, wrenches and lures. Double minded heart. Dissembling mind.…
The drag and pull relentless, But life is at hand. The Calvary comes, Spirit descends. Still at war … … but my side is winning. The Craftsman
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Eph 2:10
Lovingly planned,
Gently formed.
Carved and shaped by sublime hands.
Sanded and smoothed,
Rubbed and polished.
Crafted with pride and purpose.
Breathed into miraculous life.
Accompanied by the maker’s instructions;
To serve,
Be,
Do,
To the glory of the

Divine Breath: A poem on Sunday
Divine words creating
Shaping
Holy breath speaking into presence
Majestic imagination
Unfolding and weaving
Triunity
In partnership
Speaking, Breathing, Being
Creation blinks
Light streams forth
Air and water part
Land and sea claim their domains
Leaves shoot forth in their hallelujahs!
Stars, planets and comets scatter into space
The rhythm of being beats
The waters swirl with life
The land abounds
Then I am made
Like God!
Who Am I to Stand Before You?
Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable
his judgments,
and his paths beyond tracing out!
“Who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has been his counsellor?”
“Who has ever given to God,
that God should repay them?”
For from him and through him and for him are all things.
To him be the glory forever! Amen. Rom 11:33-36
Who am I to stand before you?
Majestic, Almighty, All powerful God!
Who am I to question you
or judge Your decisions?
All seeing, All knowing, All prescient God!
Who am I to know You
understand You?
Incomprehensible, Unchangeable, Eternal God!
Who am I to be loved by You?
Oh God full of Grace, Compassion
and unfathomable Love!
Who am I?
Nothing
outside Your Embracing arms.
A Poem Inspired by Psalm 19:1-4
Looking at the stars
Leaves me in wonder and amazement:
Their size,
The distance,
The physics,
The eternity of it all!
My mind cannot drink it in,
But my hearts says, “My God”!
My God the incredible creator.
And then there is
The sheer incomprehensible beauty,
The “twinkle” of the “diamonds” in the sky
Set upon black velvet.
Yes!
The heavens declare,
Shout, scream, bellow
The glory
Majesty, Vastness, Mystery,
Of God
And proclaim
The works of His hands!
