Another Advent Poem – Glory

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 1:14

Haloes,

The sun’s brightest rays,

The seductive gleam of gold

Or the rich sparkle of diamonds

Are muted and dim

In the radiance of Your glory!

    I’ve never really known what the word “Glory” meant.
    I know you can be surrounded by it, bathed in it, come in it, be overwhelmed by it, cloaked by it and end in it.
    But what exactly is it?

    • Same here. I couldn’t define it. It is like a mixture of God’s holiness and splendour combined. Then we have to define those words …
