To Give All
To give all,
To forego all,
To deny all,
… for You.
The call is so vast
that
the will stumbles and seeks
other ways.
Broadways.
Highways.
Not narrow by the seat of your pants pathways.
To turn from
self
to You
a battles rages.
“What about me?”
Yes, “What about you?”
Your quiet Word (of life)
entangles with
my self – ishness.
But your grace
Your all giving – ness
Your cross shaped love
Swamps the corners
of my rambling soul.
Kneelingly I stutter,
“Not me.
You.”
